Agoda reveals top year-end domestic vacation spots

With year-end quickly approaching, many Malaysians are counting down to their much-anticipated getaways. But for less-organized folk, it’s a last minute dash to book accommodation. Thankfully, Agoda has just released it’s top spots for you to consider.

With the ease of booking last-minute domestic travel, it’s a great opportunity to explore your own city. Agoda’s Travel and Tech Study found 75 per cent of Malaysians want to explore more of their own country.

Agoda’s Global Director for Brand and Communication, Andrew Edwards, comments: “A vacation in your own city is a great opportunity to discover what foreign tourists love about where you live — but without the jet-lag, language difficulties and general disorientation.”

Agoda booking data shows nine of the ten most popular year-end destinations for Malaysians travelers in 2016 were domestic. So here are some of Kuala Lumpur and its surrounds’ most inspiring vacation properties to re-discover your own backyard.
