Allianz Life Insurance Malaysia Berhad’s (Allianz Life) annual Agency Awards Nite 2022 returned with a physical celebration this year, after two years of doing it virtually due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The event – held at the Genting International Convention Center, Pahang on Wednesday, 10 August 2022 – saw more than 1,100 attendees from various agencies in the country.
The Agency Awards Nite 2022 was graced by Allianz Asia Pacific Regional Chief Executive Officer Anusha Thavarajah, Allianz Malaysia Berhad (Allianz Malaysia) Chairman Zakri Khir, Allianz Life Chairman Goh Ching Yin, Allianz Malaysia and Allianz General Insurance Company (Malaysia) Berhad Chief Executive Officer Sean Wang, Allianz Life Chief Executive Officer Charles Ong, Allianz Life Chief Sales Officer Raymond Cheah, as well as the senior management committee.
“The agency force has contributed RM506.7 million of Annualised New Premiums to Allianz Life last year, despite the spillover effects from the COVID-19. As such, I want to put my hands together for all the agents who are working together with the management to achieve strong growth for the Company,” Charles said.
“If we continue this momentum, I believe the Company can achieve better growth for 2022. In addition, the Company will continue to provide the necessary support to the agents including technology tools and incentives amidst this challenging time,” he added.
Charles congratulated Dato’ Sri Norman Pang of NPG Agency who was crowned the Champion for 2021 Supreme Agency Manager, Agency Manager with Highest Annualised First Year Premium (AFYP), Highest AFYP by New Recruits, Highest Active Agent Hits, and Recruiters with Highest Direct AFYP, as well as Dato’ Sueann Tan of ACP Agency who achieved the Top of the Table (TOT) recognition for 13th time and Mega TOT title for the first time.
About 600 awards were presented to the 423 best performing agents, including 401 recipients for Million Dollar Round Table and 17 achievers of Court of the Table while nine received the TOT titles. A total of 17 agents bagged the Million Dollar Producers recognition, 18 obtained the Elite Million Dollar Agency title and 13 secured the Elite Million Dollar Unit award. In addition, 48 Allianz Centurion Producers award were also presented in that night.
