Crucial to ensuring financial wellbeing is planning one’s finances early in life. As such, the core objective of the programme is to help youths make better financial decisions, as numerous findings of national studies have indicated Malaysian youths sorely lack effective money management knowledge. Workshops such as this will empower youths to practise positive financial behaviour and gain strong financial capability well into adulthood and their retirement years, ensuring their financial and emotional wellbeing.

The topics covered include asset protection, asset accumulation, asset management and asset distribution Speakers are from Bank Negara Malaysia, OFS and SIDREC, EPF, AKPK, SC, MTA, FIMM, LHDN and MFPC.

The programme will not be one-off learning as MFPC has launched an e-learning portal with free access for all wanting to gain financial knowledge. This will also ensure resources are available to build their financial knowledge.

Also, MFPC, in collaboration with AKPK, EPF and licensed financial planning firms, will offer free e-counselling sessions on debt management, retirement planning and financial planning to all registered participants at our My Money and Me 2022 programmes.

As such, MFPC offers various financial education programmes designed to enable Malaysian youths to acquire financial knowledge systematically to effectively plan and manage their finances for a better future.

MFPC’s My Money & Me programme has received honourable commendation from UNESCO. The award honours MFPC who has achieved outstanding progress in conventional and Islamic financial planning education and is making significant and lasting social impact on the various target groups. MFPC hopes that our financial education programmes will make a difference in the lives of youths, enhancing their upward mobility and creating lasting and positive change.

MFPC plans to hold many more My Money & Me programmes, all of which are free, throughout 2022 to benefit more Malaysian youths.
