SL Info to list on LEAP Market on 21 May

SL Information Berhad (SL Info), which would be listed on the LEAP Market of Bursa Malaysia on 21st May 2018, aims to expand its range of products and services to capitalise on Malaysia’s growing enterprise information technology (IT) market as more companies seek greater productivity and operational efficiencies.

The company is today a leading Malaysian end-to-end enterprise business solution provider involved in the provision of a wide and complementary range of solutions comprising IT Infrastructure technology, enterprise resource planning (ERP) solutions and value-added enterprise software solutions.

SL Info is helmed by Managing Director Soon Seng Teck. He is ably assisted by Group General Manager Jimmy Lim Chin Kiew and Executive Director Sim Boon Ker (B K Sim).

Pursuant to its listing, the company would be issuing 10.5 million shares representing approximately 8.3% of its enlarged issued share capital at RM0.18 per Issue Share to sophisticated investors. The purpose of its listing, which would be raising close to RM1.9 million, is to:

(1)    Enhance the corporate profile of the company

(2)    Enable the company to tap the capital markets to fund the future expansion of its operations

(3)    Provide sophisticated investors comprising of employees, business associates and those who have contributed to the success of the company as well as members of the public, with an opportunity to participate in the equity of the company, while

(4)    Also establishing liquidity for its shares.

SL Info have successfully spearheaded market development in Malaysia for the following solutions:

  • IBM’s enterprise IT infrastructure solution for more than two decades.
  • PRONTO’s integrated enterprise management solution for over 18 years.
  • Infor’s integrated enterprise management solution for the last decade and a half.
  • IBM’s enterprise business performance management solution since 2000.
  • OpenText StreamServe’s effective business document management solution for 10 years.

For its financial year ended 31 December 2017, SL Info posted profit before taxation of RM5.54 million on the back of RM35.74 million in revenue. This was a marked improvement from 2016 when the company posted RM3.12 million in profit before taxation on the back of RM31.34 million revenue.

Moving forward, the company expects to derive higher contribution from its ERP solutions following  successful marketing and promotional campaigns to create awareness of its MountainTop and other value-added enterprise software solutions.
