UMW Equipment’s New Customer Centre Offers Integrated Services

UMW Equipment's New Customer Centre in Kota Kemuning offers Integrated Services to better serve its customers.

With the aim of serving its customers better, the UMW Group’s Equipment Division had officially opened its new integrated customer centre in Kota Kemuning, Shah Alam. The Equipment Division Customer Centre (“EDCC”) houses the service centres for its heavy equipment, industrial equipment as well as industrial power businesses with a total of 150 employees. It sits on 1.2 acres of land, with 25,000 square feet of shopfloor and another 10,000 square feet of office space.

The UMW Equipment Division distributes leading equipment products from renowned brands which include among others Komatsu, Bomag, Rosenbauer, Tennant as well as Toyota material handling equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks and others. It also distributes related industrial equipment tyres and batteries. The Division is intensifying its effort to add value to the logistics and warehouse business through process automation with the support of Toyota Material Handling International. In addition, its Industrial Power unit provides solutions for the industrial and customised power & marine equipment.

The strategically located EDCC is a one-stop centre for customers to explore and appreciate its products, automation solutions and services. It is also a parts warehouse and equipment service and repair centre as well as related activities such as the call centre, material handling training circuit and a circuit for forklift operator training.
